WordPress Calendar Plugin

I recently started a new project for a great non-profit in the Denver area. One of their pressing needs was to migrate their event management system from BigTent to their new custom WordPress site. I spent quite a bit of time researching various WordPress calendar plugins, and finally settled on The Events Calendar plugin. In addition to its core functionality of organizing events in a clean and concise fashion, it offers a number of add-ons that integrate it with other systems like Facebook, WooCommerce, EventBrite, and more. I played around with the free version for little while and was really impressed with the feature set, and ended up upgrading to the Pro version for my client to meet their particular needs.

On a side note, I wanted to also give them a shoutout for their support of non-profits. These organizations do great work in their communities and often operate on very limited budgets. Having companies like Modern Tribe who offer their products for free to these groups is invaluable. I myself am donating my own time to this project, and it’s nice to work with fellow WordPress developers and organizations who do the same. Sometimes it does take a village

So if you’re looking for a WordPress Calendar Plugin, make sure you include The Events Calendar in your evaluation, it’s definitely one of the best I saw.
